About the Cover
Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer death in the U.S. Smoking and radon are the leading causes of lung cancer. Environmental risks are inversely related to income and socioeconomic status disparities are associated with a lack of action to reduce environmental risks. This issue’s cover article, “Personalized Report-Back to Renters on Radon and Tobacco Smoke Exposure,” evaluates the impact, feasibility, and acceptability of a dual home screening and a personalized environmental report-back intervention to prompt action to reduce home exposure to radon and secondhand smoke in renters.
