Concurrent Disaster Resources

This is a collection of resources for environmental health professionals to use to prepare, mitigate, respond, and recover from disasters like hurricanes, wildfires, earthquakes, and infectious diseases that occur at the same time or consecutively. The repository includes resources developed by state, local, tribal, and territorial health departments, academic institutions, non-governmental organizations, and governmental agencies to facilitate knowledge sharing across jurisdictions on concurrent disasters.

The 2022 Concurrent Disasters Needs Assessment Report is a summary of the identified gaps and challenges faced by local environmental and public health agencies when responding to concurrent disasters and suggests resources to address these challenges. This collection of resources was developed as a result of these findings.
