About the Cover
The Coconino County Public Health Services District was faced with a mystery in 2014 when an outbreak of tickborne relapsing fever occurred and the culprits, soft ticks, could not be found in their “normal” habitat. Did Coconino call in Scooby-Doo and Mystery Incorporated to solve the mystery? Of course not … they used sound scientific investigation skills to solve the mystery! This issue’s cover feature describes the investigation into the outbreak and how they solved the mystery of where the ticks were.
