The FSMA FSPCA (Food Safety Modernization Act - Food Safety Preventive Controls Alliance) courses are designed to help participants understand and implement the requirements of the FSMA regulations. These courses are developed in collaboration with the FDA and are essential for ensuring food safety in various sectors. The Foreign Supplier Verification Programs (FSVP) is designed for importers who need to verify that their foreign suppliers are producing food in a manner that meets U.S. safety standards. This virtual instructor-led course allows you to interact with an FSPCA Lead instructor to ensure full understanding of the FSVP Rule.
Who Should Take the FSPV Course?
- If you're involved in importing human or animal food into the U.S., for consumption in the U.S., it's crucial to understand and comply with FSVP requirements to ensure food safety and avoid regulatory issues.

The FSVP applies to U.S. importers of food for humans and animals. Specifically, it covers:
- The U.S. owner or consignee of the food at the time of entry.
- If there is no U.S. owner or consignee, the U.S. agent or representative of the foreign owner or consignee
