Position Summary
Boulder County Public Health is seeking to hire a Consumer Protection Program Coordinator. The Consumer Protection Program Coordinator requires dynamic leadership and management skills to oversee the food safety, vector borne diseases, and the body art programs in Boulder County. The position supervises program staff; manages multiple state grants; develops and manages complex program budgets; oversees implementation of a wide range of program strategies, including policy, communications, and systems change; collaborates with community, county departments, regional and state partners to develop a coordinated policy and regulatory approach for addressing program concerns at a local, regional and state level; and cultivates new and existing partnerships to enhance program practices and industry oversight as well as research into the prevention and health impacts associated food safety, vector borne diseases and body art practices.
Job Duties & Qualifications:
Boulder County is looking for well qualified candidates to fill our positions. Any combination of relevant education and experience is encouraged. In this position, we are looking for a minimum of:
- Seven years performing technical tasks in investigation of environmental health conditions, or
- A bachelor's degree in physical, biological, or sanitary sciences or related field plus three years performing technical tasks in investigation of environmental health conditions, or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and education
